Crystal Palace forward Wilfred Zaha has informed the club that he intends to join Arsenal this summer. The Ivory Coast international has been linked with a move away from the club this summer as he seeks Champions League football.

It is believed that Zaha has appealed to the club to reduce the valuation on his transfer. The Eagles value the forward at £80 million which is partly due to the 20% sell on a clause that is owed to Manchester United.

Arsenal have just £40 million available for transfers and Zaha’s transfer fee is twice the transfer kitty available.

The failure to qualify for the Champions League has led the club to cut on its expenditure this season.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has told the club that he wants a wide forward due to the lack of width offered by the attack last season.

Zaha is considered as one of the best-attacking players outside the top six. The 26 year boasts an array of tricks that makes him a handful for opposing defenders, making him a potential invaluable team player at the Emirates.

However, this looks highly unlikely as Crystal Palace are unlikely to accept any offer less than £60 million for the forward.

Meanwhile former Arsenal midfielder has been linked to a move to Crystal Palace as the club are looking for reinforcements.

Crystal Palace have money to spend after the sale of Wan-Bissaka and Wilshere is seen as a low cost option.  The England international international has endured a miserable stint at the Hammers with his constant injuries a major problem.

Crystal Palace are ready to make an offer of around £5million for the midfielder. West Ham would be making good profit from the player that they signed for free last season.
