England international Jack Wilshere was allowed to leave Arsenal in the summer and that huge risk he took appears to finally be paying off.

When the Gunners allowed Wilshere to leave in the summer, it was largely due to new manager Unai Emery. The Spaniard informed Wilshere as soon as he arrived at the club that he would not be a regular in the starting lineup and the player deemed it fit to make the ultimate decision of leaving North London.

The career path of Arsenal man Jack Wilshere is not yet clear, especially with the situation at the Emirates.

Due to the injury sustained at Bournemouth where he was on loan last term, he is still in recovery. Additionally, the Gunner star is not slated to travel with the rest of the Arsenal squad for the pre-season tour of Sydney, Shanghai and Beijing.

After the £52 million deal for Alexandre Lacazette, the club gave the French striker the No 9shirt number. The striker is expected to avoid veering off the path of success but the pressure is sure piling before the season begins.

Players like Julio Baptista, Eduardo, Lukas Podolski looked like decent additions but they faltered in the Arsenal shirt. While a case can be made for Laca being a rank better than those players – at that stage – he is still an unproven player in the Premier League. (more…)

Arsenal upturned their setback in Europe against German side Bayern Munich to defeat their FA Cup fifth round opponents Sutton United.

Sutton manager Paul Doswell was scared of Arsene Wenger playing a strong side against his small team ahead of the game.

“Our only chance is if he puts out an Under 23 reserve side out because National League sides can compete against academy players. If we were to get a draw and we could get back to the Emirates Stadium, it would be one of the biggest results in the cup’s history and for the players.

“The best result for the players would be a 0-0. Half of my team support Arsenal, so the chance for them to go to the Emirates and just have a great day out would be their preferred result,” Doswell said.

On the other hand, Wenger was scared of the quality of the pitch they would play in, the enthusiasm of Sutton, seeing how other ‘small’ teams have caused upset against Premier League sides. (more…)

Wilshere is relishing the chance to help Arsenal in the title race when he heads toChelsea with Bournemouth on Boxing Day.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger sent Wilshere to Dean Court in the summer in the hope that the 24-year-old would get some valuable minutes under his belt after several injury-ravaged seasons in north London.

The England star has been praised for his displays under Eddie Howe this campaign, with the Cherries sitting tenth in the Premier League, and he’s clearly full of confidence ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge.

‘Of course, I want Arsenal to do well so hopefully we can beat them and do Arsenal afavour,’ Wilshere told Sky Sports.

Antonio Conte’s men host Bournemouth off the back of an 11-game winning streak in the English top flight which Wilshere is determined to bring to an end.

The midfielder endeared himself to Arsenal supporters once again this week by proving that he still holds a grudge with the Gunners’ bitter rivals Tottenham. (more…)

Jack Wilshere Available on Loan from Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere received a major shock to his international career after being left out of the England national team squad by new manager Sam Allardyce.

The player has had extreme bad luck with regard to injuries, but he did play in a couple of matches at the Euro 2016. Wilshere was expected to continue under Allardyce as one of the talented youngsters in the squad, but his absence comes as a major shock. The former Bolton and West Ham manager announced his squad for the upcoming World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Slovakia.

As expected, Allardyce was put forth the question of leaving out Wilshere and he claimed that this decision was taken on the back of the player’s poor appearance record for his club. The midfielder is yet to start a league match this season after featuring in both games as a substitute. Arsenal have taken the surprise decision of loaning out the midfielder in the hope of giving him more first-team action. Wilshere will find no shortage of interested parties and he is also no stranger to a loan move after having spent a short period at Bolton in 2010. In his eight seasons at Arsenal, Wilshere has managed only 157 appearances in all competitions thus averaging around 20 games a season.

Jack Wilshere Needs To Be Used For His Skills On The Field

There are many football legends that often become bigger than the teams they are part of.

As a result, there is much expected out of them, often too much more than what should be expected out of a single player in a game that depends on team participation and strategies. Jack Wilshere is given such a responsibility often which is understandable as he definitely helped the England team to pass the qualifying round for Euro 2016 which occurred in 2014. With the performance that he provided his coach has definitely come to rely on him, but it is often difficult for players to showcase the same kind of playful spirit often, leading to disappointment. It is often the fault in the strategy rather than blaming the single player for not being able to perform.
